Our Staff

We take immense care in recruiting great staff that can show your child a warm caring and patient nature whilst giving comfort, guidance and supporting your child’s development needs and ensuring they maximise their potential.

Our detailed interview program, followed by a thorough induction plan, regular support and supervision/appraisals and individual training plans for successful candidates aims to ensure that care is consistently of a high quality; meaning that you can be assured that your child is looked after by individuals with a passion for our work.

Our training program is so successful that we have also trained apprentices in-house who have gained employment after reaching their goal of receiving an accredited qualification.

Our nursery is closed for two days per year (January and August), in addition to the days between Christmas and New Year for specific staff training topics which relate to the latest Ofsted legislation and/or first aid, health & safety, early learning goals and key skills required to be a staff member of the Puddle-ducks team. All of our training is planned, carried out or overseen by qualified trainers ensuring the best learning methods for our staff.

The Management Team leads the well qualified staff team well. The Management Team uses rigorous recruitment, vetting and induction procedures to ensure staff suitability.         Ofsted 2017

  

Children's safety is paramount. Staff work hard to keep children safe. They have regular training on safeguarding matters and have good knowledge of how to protect children from harm.         Ofsted 2012
