Enabling children to achieve

"mark making" is fun and helps children learn to draw and write...

Parents can be confident that their child is cared for as an individual as each child has their own key person to help understand their needs and build a special relationship with them.

By adopting the Early Years Foundation Framework, each child follows a learning and development plan best suited to their particular needs.  The curriculum focuses on the following themes, because:

  • each child is unique and able to learn from birth and become confident and self-assured
  • each child is capable of forming caring and secure relationships
  • each child is supported to enable them to develop and learn
  • each child is able to learn in different ways and at different rates and each of which is equally important

We aim to meet or exceed the learning and development standards set by the Department for Education for each child’s progress. Our large all weather garden provides an excellent resource for children to develop their motor skills, explore and discover nature by growing their own flowers and vegetables.

All of our staff either hold a childcare qualification, such as the National Vocational Qualification or Diploma in Nursery Nursing or are working towards one of these qualifications. We believe that our staff should have the knowledge and skills to be able to deal with the ever-changing needs of the children we care for which is why our staff team is committed to continual professional development.
